CARROLL THEATRE COMPANY RECOGNIZED FOR EXCELLENCE AT THEATRE FESTIVAL!
CONGRATULATIONS to every single member of the Carroll Theatre Company's NCTC production of "The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe"! The awards which CTC garnered from the North Carolina Theatre Conference Middle School Play Festival are:
For the ENTIRE Cast & Crew - Excellence in Use of Make Up Excellence in Use of Costuming Excellence in Use of Set Design |
Individual Awards -
Excellence in Acting: Claire Spickard (Mr. Tumnus)
Excellence in Lighting Design: Alex Boyer
Excellence in Directing: Virginia Perry Smith & Robin Bolash
Adjudicators' Comments also gave shout outs to our 'Statues/Creatures' (Charlotte McAllister-Farmer, Miranda Cominole & Eden Duffy) for their outstanding job with the physicality of their roles. As statues, they never moved even a fraction of an inch (100% believable as statues) and as creatures they added a touch of reality and magic to each scene that they were in.
We also received great notes from the adjudicators to help our actors continue to develop their skills.
(The adjudicators included a college theatre professor from Wake Forest University and a professional actor/theatre director -- what a great opportunity for our students to receive feedback from theatre professionals of this caliber!)
It was a GREAT day!
*The NCTC Middle School Play Festival was held in Winston-Salem at Mt Tabor High School on Saturday, March 21, 2015
