The year is 2187. The era of the Great Expansion has ended. Earth is divided into The Three Unions, which have co-existed for roughly 50 years. But the entirety of the human race does not reside on Earth. The 12 Colonies of the Moon are independent from The Three Unions. The Martian Federation is comprised of 42 base-states. The only communication between the Earth, the Moon and Mars are automated messages pertaining to shipments, product orders, price fluctuations, etc. Person to person contact between the worlds is a thing of the distant past, a past filled with violence, disease, and death. Humanity has reached beyond Earth, only to create more islands of division and distrust.

NCTC Middle School Play Festival

Saturday, March 8, 2025
Reidsville High School Theatre

The Carroll Theatre Company is a proud member of NCTC! Each spring, the NCTC Middle School Play Festival brings together students from across NC to share their talents, receive feedback from industry professionals and celebrate theatrical excellence.

Schools load-in their set into a backstage area that is approximately 10′x10′, before taking the stage to perform their play. Students have 45 minutes to tell their story and leave the stage completely clear. Following their performance, students receive verbal and written feedback from industry experts. When not performing, students watch performances from other schools, learn from their peers and make new theatre friends.

At the end of the Festival, awards are presented in an exciting ceremony that celebrates the achievements of all participants.
