Jr. ITS Troupe 89195 Induction
Wednesday, September 29 | 4:30-5:30PM

The Junior Thespian troupe is a subset of the Carroll Theatre Company. It is the theatre students' honor society, and membership is earned. Any student may be a member of CTC, but only students who have been officially inducted and registered with the EdTA home office are members of the theatre program and the International Thespian Society.

6th and 7th grade theatre leaders are invited to participate in troupe activities and service projects as apprentices, and are invited to witness and support our 8th graders upon their induction. A list of 8th grade inductees can be found on our website.

NC Young Playwrights is the perfect opportunity for your students to receive the collaborative, intensive, professional exposure to the world of playwriting that will create lasting memories and highly beneficial experience. All theatre students have the opportunity to write and submit a play to the NC Young Playwrights Festival. Participating Carroll students are mentored by Mrs. Huffman to ensure guidelines are followed and plays are submitted correctly. For more information, visit the NCYPF website.

Last year, Carroll theatre leader Molly Huffman wrote and submitted a play titled Paper Roses. It was selected as the Middle School Winning Play. All winning plays from 2021 can be purchased here.
